Johanna von Seidel serves as Consultant in the Global Strategy consulting practice within Newmark’s Global Corporate Services (GCS) division. In her current role, Johanna advises private sector clients on location strategy and site selection, with a particular focus on the automotive, software & IT industries. In addition, she provides strategic advice to economic development organizations and investment promotion agencies.
von Seidel joined Newmark after serving as a Consultant at OCO Global, where she was involved in numerous consulting projects with a focus on internationalization of private business clients. Moreover, she advised national and international economic development agencies with a focus on FDI potential analysis, benchmarking of locations and international marketing.
In addition to her consulting experience, she also worked as a researcher for the German Development Agency (GIZ) in Beijing, where she supported a strategy project in the field of sustainable mobility on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) in cooperation with the Chinese Ministry of Transport.
von Seidel is fluent in English and German and has a good command of Mandarin.

von Seidel graduated from King’s College London in the UK where she earned a Master of Science in China & Globalization. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.
