John Daniels joined Newmark’s Capital Markets team in 2016 as a Director and has since been promoted to Executive Managing Director. Daniels has sold, financed or valued more than $150 billion of loans and properties, with a specific focus on secondary Debt Markets. Daniels took a leadership role in the recent Newmark sales efforts on the largest loan sale in history – the $53 billion FDIC Signature Bank Structured Loan Sale – which included $33 billion of CRE loans.
Prior to joining Newmark, Daniels worked for Cushman Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group, where he provided financial advisory services for the acquisition, financing, valuation and disposition of commercial and residential assets.

Education
Daniels attended the University of Dayton, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on finance and economics and was a member of the University of Dayton Men’s Varsity Soccer Team. Daniels lives in Chicago, IL with his wife and three children.
