John Newton joined the Roseville office of Newmark in 2012 and serves as a Director. Newton began his commercial real estate career when he joined Grubb & Ellis Company in 2002, where he represented a myriad of retail clients in varying capacities. Prior to his entrance into the industry, Newton was a successful multi-unit operator within the Papa Murphy’s pizza franchise system, where his locations consistently performed in the top tiers of the organization.
Newton was nominated Retail Broker of the Year by ACRE in 2007 and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
The Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS) nominated Newton Man of the Year in 2011. He was awarded him the inaugural Bobby Dean Junior Spirit Award, recognizing him as the candidate who showed the most creative and unselfish ways of communicating the organization’s mission to the community.
