Jonathan Tomasco joined the Emeryville (now Oakland) office of Newmark as a Vice President in 2000. Tomasco provides real estate representation to office/laboratory landlords and tenants, from stable, credit-worthy corporations and multinational developers to dynamic startups, assisting them in the development and implementation of short- and long-term real estate solutions. His area of expertise is the East Bay market, including Richmond, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland and Alameda. He has negotiated over 650 lease and sale transactions totaling more than 7.0 million square feet valued at more than $1 billion.
Tomasco began his real estate career in 1996 at West Bay Commercial in Burlingame. He was named Rookie of the Year in 1997 for completing 26 transactions in his first year in the business. Since joining the firm, he has consistently ranked among the top five producers in the Emeryville (now Oakland) office.
Tomasco’s detail-oriented approach has earned him tenant representation assignments from some of corporate America’s most respected, names including Intel Corporation; Wells Fargo; Sutter Health, Inc., Depomed; and Parsons Brinckerhoff Inc., as well as several technology and biotech startup companies and the State of California.
