Kendall Winegar, MAI, currently serves as an Executive Vice President and National Seniors Housing Lead for Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s Healthcare & Seniors Housing Specialty Practice. Based in the firm’s Chicago O’Hare office, Winegar provides valuation services with a primary focus in seniors housing and healthcare properties throughout the U.S.
A highly experienced appraiser with over 20 years in the business, Winegar has prepared and performed valuations and market analyses on a broad range of properties that include various apartment, retail, industrial and office properties. In addition, Winegar has appraised various other properties such as self storage facilities, gasoline stations, vacant land, residential subdivisions, and manufacturing housing communities. Over the past several years, Winegar has performed nearly two thousand valuations with a specific focus on senior housing properties including skilled nursing facilities, independent living facilities, assisted living facilities, memory care facilities, CCRCs, and medical office properties.
Winegar has completed valuations and market studies on proposed, partially completed, renovated and existing properties. He has performed valuations for mortgage financing, tax appeal, investment counseling, real estate allocation, potential sale or purchase, and feasibility analysis. Clients have included commercial banks, developers, corporations, individual property owners, public agencies, insurance companies and legal firms. For the last decade, Winegar has focused on valuations of senior living facilities throughout the Midwest.
Prior to Newmark, Winegar served as a Director in the Chicago and Rosemont offices of Cushman and Wakefield of Illinois, Inc. for over five years. Prior to Cushman and Wakefield of Illinois, Inc., Kendall worked at various appraisal firms. He also worked for nearly a decade as a real estate broker specializing in industrial properties and as a real estate developer specializing in the development of self-storage in the Chicago and Detroit markets.

Education
Winegar earned a Master of Science degree in real estate with a focus on valuation from DePaul University. He previously earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in real estate degree from the University of Wisconsin.
