Mark Sokolowski joined the firm in 2006 and serves as one of the key strategists and business developers for the Global Corporate Services (GCS) Group. The Global Corporate Services (GCS) Group is comprised of certified senior level advisers within Newmark specializing in corporate representation, strategically located in each major market across the globe. As a Director, Mark is intimately involved with the transaction process from the preliminary introduction to requirement execution; performing due diligence, formulating strategies, implementing a calculated plan of action, and methodically negotiating to optimize cost savings and increase business profit for his clients. Mark’s entrepreneurial style, coupled with Newmark’s international platform and resources, have translated to creative solutions and a higher level of service for his clients; ultimately saving them both time and money. Since joining “legacy” Grubb & Ellis in 2006, Mr. Sokolowski has actively participated in excess of $500 Million in gross transactions. In addition to his professional career, Mark enjoys cooking, riding motorcycles, playing golf, traveling and spending time with his wife, baby daughter, and family.
Education
Mr. Sokolowski graduated cum laude from California State University, Long Beach, with a double major in international business and finance and a minor in Russian.
