Maria Valdéz leads the business development of Global Corporate Services in Latin America for Newmark. She is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and implementing new account Sales of Transaction, Project, and Facility Management services in the region, creating valuable solutions, smooth transitions, and strong relationships between Newmark and its clients.
Valdéz is actively involved in the ongoing management of sales throughout the region. Working with service delivery teams, she develops and implements processes, procedures, and organizational best practices to ultimately deliver a positive customer experience from early stages. She is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling these activities, optimizing the use of all cross-functional resources within Newmark.
Valdéz has a 10-year track record helping and guiding decision makers throughout the corporate real estate life cycle, with experience in geographically dispersed multinational portfolios. Prior to Newmark, she enjoyed an 8-year career working with companies including Cushman & Wakefield, Johnson Controls, CBRE and JLL. She has been responsible for operating and marketing Project Management services and the design and transition of Facility Management, both in Latin America. She has been responsible for the implementation of Facility Management services in more than 6.9 million square feet (650,000 square meters) simultaneously.
Education
Valdéz is an Architect from the Technological Institute of Higher Studies of Monterrey. She is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute since 2015. Valdéz speaks fluently Spanish, English and French. Has intermediate proficiency in Portuguese.
