Matthew Lowdermilk, MAI currently serves as a First Vice President in Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s West Palm Beach, Florida office and is a member of the Convenience Stores, Automotive Energy & Restaurants Specialty Practices. A 12-year corporate real estate veteran, Lowdermilk has substantial expertise in appraisal of retail petroleum facilities and restaurants, including service stations, convenience stores, truck stops, lube facilities, car washes, quick-service restaurants, and full-service restaurants.
Prior to joining Newmark, Lowdermilk served as a Senior Vice President at Bowery Valuation, where he was instrumental in the company’s expansion and growth in Florida. Before joining Bowery, Lowdermilk served as a Director at Cushman and Wakefield. Prior to Cushman and Wakefield, Lowdermilk worked as a Junior and Senior Appraiser at Integra Realty Resources (IRR).

Going Concern – SBA
Per Chapter 4 of the SBA’s SOP 50, Lowdermilk has, within the last 36 months, completed no less than four going concern appraisals of special use properties (car wash, gas station with or without a convenience store, restaurant, etc.).
Education
Lowdermilk earned his Bachelor of Science from University of Florida. He furthered his education by receiving his Master of Science from Florida Atlantic University.
Additionally, Lowdermilk has completed numerous real estate-related courses and seminars under the qualifying and continuing education requirements of the Appraisal Institute.
