As the research and marketing manager in Newmark’s Cleveland office, Matthew Orgovan provides strategic oversight and direction for all local marketing and research efforts, overseeing a staff of two and acting as the primary point of contact between corporate marketing and research and brokerage and property management services.
Mr. Orgovan’s marketing management responsibilities include the creation of marketing, presentation and digital materials; acting as the regional public relations point of contact; and supporting corporate brand management on a local level. He also develops marketing strategies; provides hands-on writing, graphic design and photography direction; and implements and manages the office’s social media and local advertising campaigns. Mr. Orgovan works closely with the firm’s brokers and property managers to attract new business, enhance the office’s visibility in Northeast Ohio and support existing agency assignments with property marketing requirements.
On the research management side, his responsibilities entail supporting all commercial real estate research-related aspects of the Cleveland office from database management, production of reports, analysis and beyond. Specific duties include acquiring, tracking and verifying real estate market data related to properties, listings, tenants and comparable transactions; generating market statistics and conducting trend analysis of commercial real estate; developing quarterly market reports and related collateral pieces; supporting brokers and property management staff in the development of research-based presentations; and generating statistical and demographic reports.
Mr. Orgovan joined Newmark in 2014 from Lachina Publishing Services, where as an editorial project manager, he coordinated college textbook and trade book production from manuscript to finished product. He provided editing, proofreading and composition expertise; communicated with book authors, publishers and project teams; prepared and maintained production schedules and budgets; and upheld final quality control.
Prior to Lachina, Mr. Orgovan was the director of marketing and public relations for nine years at Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School, a private educational institution in Cleveland. In this capacity, his responsibilities included writing and distributing press releases; writing and coordinating the publishing of the school’s alumni magazine and newsletters; formulating marketing and branding strategies; managing local advertising campaigns; maintaining and updating the school’s website and social media accounts; and providing graphic design and photography expertise.
Education
Mr. Orgovan is a board member for UpStage Players, a children’s theatre company based in Cleveland. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
