Meghan Varga is a Senior Managing Director with Newmark’s Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group in the Santa Monica office. Varga is an expert in multifamily agency lending whose more than 20 years of experience extends to both single-asset and structured transactions.
Varga joined Newmark in 2019, after serving as a Managing Director, Production Management for Berkadia Commercial Mortgage. While at Berkadia, she managed Fannie Mae production originated by the West Coast mortgage banking offices, closing more than $4 billion in Fannie Mae loans. During her first four years at Berkadia, Varga increased Fannie Mae production by 40% and doubled Fannie Mae market share for the West Coast offices she managed. Varga was also the transaction lead on five Fannie Mae credit facilities totaling more than $500 million in originations.
Prior to joining Berkadia in 2012, Varga was a Director, Borrower Channel Account Manager for Fannie Mae, where she was responsible for managing multiple priority borrower relationships nationwide.
Varga joined Fannie Mae in 2003, after six years as an Assistant Vice President with ARCS Commercial Mortgage.
