Michael D’Amico is recognized as one of the top advisors nationally at Newmark and has completed transactions on a local, regional and national basis in markets including the greater Pittsburgh area, West Virginia and Ohio. Since joining Newmark in 1995, Mr. D’Amico has focused primarily on tenant representation and corporate advisory services. His client roster includes Avere Systems, Dominion Resources, DynaVox, The Ferchill Group, Legg Mason Real Estate Services (Grosvenor), Mountaineer Keystone, Peoples Natural Gas and the law firm Jones Day. Mr. D’Amico also has significant experience representing tenants in renewing or extending leases as well as relocation.
Prior to joining Newmark in 1995, Mr. D’Amico worked with Outlook Enterprises as Director of Operations. Outlook’s primary business was the development and management of personal care homes. His responsibilities included the day-to-day management of the firm’s real estate holdings and businesses.
Mr. D’Amico has been ranked as a Top 100 Broker nationally for Newmark and a Top 20 Broker in Pittsburgh by CoStar. Previously, he was recognized by the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) for three awards as a result of transactions, including two of the largest leases in Pittsburgh (Del Monte, for 180,000 square feet, and Cellomics, for 160,000 square feet). and the most creative deal of the year for the sale and redevelopment of the Heinz Plant on the North Shore. Most recently, Mr. D’Amico helped Dominion Resources acquire land and is consulting on a 100,000-square-foot build-to-suit for its office space in Clarksburg, West Virginia.
Education
After graduating from Shady Side Academy, Mr. D’Amico attended Washington & Jefferson College, where he received a bachelor’s degree with majors in both business and history. He is currently a candidate to receive the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation.
