Michael Margolis serves as the Capital Group’s market leader for the Philadelphia metropolitan area. He has held similar positions at Grubb & Ellis, Insignia/ESG, Trammell Crow and Professional Realty Advisors. With 39 years of institutional and private client investment sales experience, Margolis has represented most institutional owners in the Greater Philadelphia market, exclusively listing their office, industrial and retail properties for sale. His role has always been the team leader on listing assignments, responsible for marshaling the resources of his company and peers to best handle client assignments. In addition to his primary responsibilities in the Philadelphia market, Margolis has handled client requirements in many other states in the country, including Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, and Virginia.
Margolis grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs, went to college and graduate school in Philadelphia. Other than four years in the real estate syndication business in New York City, he has been a full-time Philadelphia area resident. He has been active in real estate investment sales in the city, the Pennsylvania suburbs, New Jersey and Delaware. In addition to his many years in investment sales, he also worked in real estate syndication for four years, as acquisitions director for three years, and started his career in public accounting, where he attained his CPA certification.
