Michelle M. Volker MAI, serves as a First Vice President in Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s Denver office. Volker has experience in the valuation of commercial properties and is proficient in computer applications related to real estate valuation, including discounted cash flow analysis. Her experience includes multifamily housing, restaurants, industrial, mixed-use properties, hotels, shopping centers, regional malls, office buildings, subdivisions, and development sites. She has significant experience with multifamily housing, including market-rate and affordable (Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Section 8) properties, senior housing, and student housing. She specializes in HUD appraisals and market studies for both existing and proposed properties and has considerable expertise in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae financing. She has performed appraisals throughout the Rocky Mountain region, including Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming. Volker also has two years of combined property management experience in Colorado and Ohio and more than two years of sales experience in Colorado.
Volker joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2018, when the firm acquired the Denver office of Integra Realty Resources. At the time of the acquisition, she was serving as a director in IRR’s Denver office. Volker had joined IRR immediately after obtaining her graduate degree in 2005.

Education
Volker earned a Master of Science degree in real estate and construction management from the University of Denver. She previously graduated cum laude from the university with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in real estate. More recently, Volker successfully completed numerous real estate related courses and seminars sponsored by the Appraisal Institute, accredited universities and others.
