Michelle Swallow, MAI, joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2017 and serves as a senior vice president in the San Jose office. Swallow brings to her position over 15 years of experience valuing and advising on a wide variety of commercial real estate property types.
Prior to Newmark, Swallow was a senior director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Valuation & Advisory Services Group. In this position, Swallow performed appraisal and consulting services throughout Northern California on all types of properties, including industrial facilities, corporate headquarter campuses, office complexes, retail centers, automobile dealerships, self-storage facilities, apartments, vacant land and residential subdivisions. The intended use of these assignments included mortgage lending, corporate advisory, disposition, acquisition, assessment districts, tax appeal purposes, litigation and rent arbitration.

Swallow earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Rivier University in Nashua, New Hampshire. She has also completed the coursework sponsored by the Appraisal Institute and other organizations an annual basis to maintain the continuing education requirements of the Appraisal Institute, and state of California.
