Mickey Rist is a Managing Director with Newmark’s Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group. Rist provides Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA financing throughout the U.S. for apartments, senior housing and senior care facilities. He has extensive experience with FHA MAP and LEAN programs. His experience also extends to financial modeling, asset valuation and helping clients choose financing programs that best suit their needs.
Rist joined Newmark’s predecessor firm in 2011. He previously served for seven years with the Love Funding Corporation, where he originated FHA loans for all types of multifamily, including apartments (conventional, LIHTC and Section 8) and seniors housing (independent, congregate, CCRC, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing). Prior to Love Funding, Rist spent 12 years as Director of Investment Sales in Grubb & Ellis’ Detroit office, brokering the sale of apartments and senior housing.

Education
Rist holds two Master of Science degrees, one in taxation from DePaul University, the other in real estate from Georgia State University. He also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting with honors from Michigan State University.
