Mike Lee is the Life Science Lead for the Workplace Strategy and Human Experience practice of Newmark’s Global Corporate Services (GCS). His primary responsibilities include strategy and innovation to advance workplace and real estate portfolio management, specializing in life science and technology. Lee acts as a liaison between Owner and Design Consultants and oversees laboratory programming, space planning and design. He is also an expert advisor for Occupier Services including human experience, workplace wellbeing, managed services and tenant engagement.
Lee has nearly a decade of experience in planning, design and project delivery of laboratories totaling over 2 million square feet for some of the most renowned scientific research institutions. His experience includes a diverse range of science disciplines and research programs including biochemistry, robotics engineering, sub-atomic imaging, MRI core facilities, cybersecurity and life sciences.
Lee brings an intuitive, thoughtful and perceptive approach to strategy, leveraging the latest visualization methodologies in visioning and consensus-building. His scientific expertise and technical skills in creating built environments for the life science industry enables clients to do their best work - biomedical and technological discovery that solves some of the most complex and important issues of our time.
Before joining Newmark, Lee worked in the design industry in Boston and nationally. His prior experience includes roles at SGA, Payette and EYP.

Education
Lee graduated with a Master of Architecture from Norwich University and is currently pursuing an MBA at Syracuse University.
