Peter J. Orlando serves as the President and CEO, offering strategic oversight for the Pearson Companies’ trio of offices nestled in California’s Central Valley—specifically in Fresno, Visalia, and Bakersfield. With over 37 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, Peter brings a wealth of expertise to his role. His leadership style is characterized by a clear vision and strategy, coupled with strong decision-making abilities and a lead-by-example approach. He is dedicated to propelling the organization forward by inspiring and motivating others while setting a high standard for excellence.
In 1985, Mr. Orlando launched his career at Grubb & Ellis Company. Following this, he established Commercial Retail Associates in 1990, a renowned commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in retail properties, where he held a shareholder position for a decade. Additionally, Mr. Orlando played a pivotal role as one of the founding partners of Retail California, the largest independent commercial real estate company in the Central Valley.
Mr. Orlando has cultivated expertise in ground-up development projects and adeptly represented national and regional tenants throughout his distinguished career. He maintains enduring relationships with developers, tenants, and brokers, fostering mutual trust and collaboration. His contributions have been instrumental in the creation and successful leasing of over 15 million square feet of retail space across the Central Valley. Additionally, Mr. Orlando has demonstrated proficiency in working with investment properties, serving both as an agent and consultant. His professional acumen has facilitated transactions exceeding $180 million in shopping center space sales throughout his career.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements, Mr. Orlando was named Salesperson of the Year by Pearson Companies (comprising Newmark Pearson Commercial and Retail California) in 2013 and 2015. Additionally, he was the proud recipient of the prestigious Pearson Companies’ “Gus Bonner Peer Award,” a testament to his unwavering personal integrity, exemplary work ethic, and collaborative spirit in fostering a culture of mutual support and cooperation among fellow associates.
