Pierce Thompson is a Managing Director with Newmark based in New York City, specializing in tenant and landlord representation.
Thompson is currently consulting on national expansion strategies for Ganni, Salomon, Rails, American Vintage, Biologique Recherche, Simkai, Peserico and Rothy’s. Additional clients include, Madewell, J. Crew, Noble33 Group, Huckberry and Kizik. Highlights include, the repositioning of J. Crew and Madewell New York City store fleet, including bringing J. Crew back to SoHo, 75 Spring Street, and relocating Madewell to 565 Broadway, over 10 transactions on behalf of Ganni, most recently 1055 Madison Avenue, over 10 transactions on behalf of Rails, most recently on 12th Avenue South in Nashville, and securing Noble33 Group’s first New York location at the Gansevoort Hotel for Meduza.
Thompson also has worked on behalf of many prominent landlords, including Apollo Global Management, Atlas Capital Group, BD Hotels, JDS Development Group, Nahla Capital, Property Markets Group, Rockpoint Group, Solow Building Company, and Scholastic Corporation.
He has successfully leased a number of projects on behalf of his landlord clients. These include 78l Fifth Avenue on behalf of The Sherry-Netherland to Delvaux and to Margot McKinney for their first U.S. flagships; the Tadao Ando-designed 152 Elizabeth Street to Issey Miyake on behalf of Nahla Capital and Sumaida + Khurna; 555 Broadway and 120 Mercer Street to Capital One Café and Monos on behalf of the Scholastic Corporation, and most recently 111 West 57 th Street to Bonham’s to relocate their flagship auction house from Madison Avenue on behalf of Apollo Global Management.
He joined Newmark in 2019 when parent company Newmark Group, Inc. acquired RKF, a New York-based retail real estate brokerage and investment firm.
