Richard D. Ratkai currently serves as a Vice President and former member of the Healthcare & Seniors Housing Specialty Practice in Newmark Valuation & Advisory’s Orlando, Florida office. In this role, Ratkai assisted in the valuation of a wide array of acute care hospitals and other healthcare-oriented property types. He also provides various consulting services, such as feasibility studies, going concern valuations and highest and best use analyses for investors and operators. He brings to his position more than 10 years of experience in the real estate appraisal industry with emphasis in the Orlando, Florida market.
Ratkai’s appraisal and consulting assignments have included vacant land, medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers, dialysis facilities, micro hospitals, clinics, office buildings, shopping centers, regional malls, industrial complexes, commercial properties, single family homes, multifamily housing, restaurants, bank branches, indoor soccer fields, ports and terminals, bowling alleys, hangars, outdoor storage, car washes, gas stations/convenience stores and other investment properties located throughout the United States. He has also performed valuations of proposed, partially completed, renovated and existing structures. In addition, Richard has significant experience in the valuation of partial interests, leaseholds, insurable values and going concerns.
