Rick Steffens is a Senior Managing Director in Newmark’s Walnut Creek office, where he focuses on leasing and sales of office buildings in the Bay Area. Steffens previously served as a Senior Vice President and Director of the Office Division Group at Grubb & Ellis for 16 years. Prior to Grubb & Ellis, he spent three years with Cushman & Wakefield and 18 years with TRI Commercial-ONCOR International and McMasters & Westland. During his career, Steffens has been directly involved in more than 8.0 million square feet of office lease and sale transactions in the I-680 and I-580 corridors of the Bay Area. He has been honored with several awards, including the Bishop Ranch Broker of the Year award, the East Bay Business Times Broker of the Year award in 2001 and the Heavy Hitters award in 2006. Steffens has been a Top Producer for 20 of the last 23 years and ranked among the Grubb & Ellis’ 20 nationally on four separate occasions.
