Rob Hannan serves as Vice Chairman in Newmark’s El Segundo, California, office. Hannan is a member of the investment sales team led by Kevin Shannon, where he specializes in the sale of investment properties for institutional clients, participating in more than $45 billion of investment property sales throughout the West Coast, with an emphasis on Southern California, Seattle and Hawaii. In addition, Hannan focuses on developing relationships with westward-bound foreign capital. He spends one week each quarter in Asia visiting the most active Asia Pacific domiciled capital sources.
Hannan joined Newmark in December 2015 from CBRE, where he was a Senior Vice President with Team Shannon. Previously, from 2011-2015, he headed up U.S. office investments for Kennedy Wilson, with a focus on acquiring value-add office buildings throughout the Western U.S. Included in his acquisitions are 150 and 151 El Camino, located in Beverly Hills, CA, the latter of which is occupied by Kennedy Wilson as their corporate headquarters. Hannan’s history with the Shannon Team dates from 2005, when he first joined Shannon.
Prior to CBRE, Hannan, a native of Hawaii, was responsible for introducing Honolulu as an investment market at Santa Monica-based REIT Douglas Emmett, Inc., leading the company’s acquisition of more than $300 million of office and multi-family there. Hannan began his real estate career at PM Realty Advisors, where he helped to acquire assets across all product types and assisted in the portfolio management of separate core accounts including, but not limited to, the Hawaii Employee Retirement System (HERS) and Iowa Public Employee Retire System (IPERS).

Education
Hannan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College. He also has received specialized training in investment analysis, marketing and real estate finance.
