Robert Kamb joined Newmark Valuation & Advisory in 2017 and currently serves as a Vice President within the company’s Columbus, Ohio office. Kamb has been professionally involved in the commercial real estate industry as a fee appraiser, a bank reviewer and as a private consultant for over 15 years. During this time, Kamb has performed appraisals, market studies, valuation reviews and feasibility analysis.
Appraisal assignments at Newmark have included a wide array of commercial property types, with a focus on conventional, affordable and subsidized multifamily housing. Kamb also has extensive knowledge with various real estate property development incentives such as tax abatements, TIFs, PACE financing, historic and low income housing tax credits. Kamb has also worked with a wide range of clients that have included national and regional lending institutions, national REITS and private equity firms, tax attorneys and private landlords.
Prior to Newmark, Kamb was an Associate Director at Cushman & Wakefield’s Ohio office. In this capacity, Kamb was part of the firm’s national Multifamily Practice Group. In addition to the multifamily industry, Kamb has also performed appraisals on numerous other property types while at Cushman & Wakefield. This included retail, office, industrial and unimproved development sites.
In addition to having extensive experience within the fee appraisal industry, Kamb previously was employed at a national banking institution performing reviews of third-party valuation reports. In this role, Kamb was responsible for the bidding and awarding of commercial property valuation assignments and also performed internal valuation services with the Bank. Prior to this position, Kamb was a real estate consultant at a privately owned consulting firm based in Columbus, Ohio. Within this role, Kamb performed market research throughout the U.S. involving apartment, condominium, mixed use and single-family home developments. This included primary market analysis in more than 35 states as well as in over 70 of Ohio’s 88 counties.

Kamb earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Ohio University’s Athens campus in 2000.
