Robert Lawlor joined Newmark in 2010 and currently leads the firm’s Global Corporate Services’ (GCS) Boston Project Management team, managing projects for financial, technology, life science, corporate and law firm clients.
A professional engineer, Lawlor has a strong background in design and project management. He has been successfully managing projects for office, technology, retail, laboratory and critical system facilities in New England and the New York metro area since 1999. He has in-depth experience in budgeting, scheduling and managing build-outs, data centers and infrastructure upgrades, including LEED certified projects.
Lawlor began his career working as a consulting and commissioning engineer. He then moved into project management for Barclays Capital, managing the upgrade of their facilities and the data center expansion within their North American Headquarters. Lawlor then worked for Citigroup where he managed the entire portfolio of Citigroup’s Lava Trading acquisition. This included managing multiple build-outs of office space while keeping their live trading data center online 24/7. Lawlor joined Newmark as a critical systems MEP senior project manager for the Goldman Sachs Capital Projects assignment, where he successfully managed multiple technical projects across their Americas portfolio including Sao Paulo, Calgary, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia and Seattle.
Lawlor is known for his leadership, strategic thinking, diligence and ethics.
