Robert Younkin is Vice Chairman of Newmark’s Debt & Structured Finance group in Los Angeles alongside his partner since 2013, Garrett Meyers. Together, they originate a variety of multifamily mortgage products for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA that service private capital, middle-market and institutional clients. Their multifamily expertise spans market-rate, student, seniors and affordable housing. In addition to multifamily, Younkin and his team have been top producers in the manufactured housing lending space with average annual production of $400 million. Throughout his career, Younkin has originated approximately $12 billion in multifamily loans with $6.5 billion of originations in just the last five years.
Before joining Newmark, Younkin served as an Executive Director at PGIM Real Estate, where he was instrumental in building the firm’s reputation in the manufactured housing space, culminating in a Top 5 ranking with Freddie Mac in 2023. Prior to PGIM, Younkin was a as Vice President at PNC Real Estate.
