Robin Fisher joined Newmark in 2004 and specializes in the tenant representation of financial service, legal, consumer, business consulting firms, as well as domestic and international non-profits. She also advises retailers and corporate portfolio operators on strategies for local and domestic asset optimization and site selection.
In her first two years at Newmark, Fisher completed a record number of transactions with clients throughout Manhattan and the Tri-State area. She recently represented Sesame Workshop in a complex long-term headquarters transaction involving approx 140,000 RSF. In 2009, Fisher restructured a 500,000 SF domestic portfolio consisting of mostly retail, office, and industrial assets in 85+ transactions that resulted in a 25% net savings to the client. She has handled similar projects for Burger King Corporation (involving approximately 400+ US retail sites) as well as BGC Partners Inc. (involving approx 250,000 SF across 40 national office locations.) In September of 2007, she completed the acquisition of approx 20,000 RSF at 712 Fifth Avenue on behalf of the Peter G Peterson Foundation.
Fisher’s clientele includes Hale and Hearty Soups; Bridgewater Advisors; Links of London; Mashable.com; Answers.com; TheaterMania.com, American Bureau of Shipping, VRM Consultants of NY; ORT America, American Liver Foundation; Kreisberg & Maitland LP, and Gapstow Capital Partners.
Prior to joining the firm, Fisher worked at The Blackstone Group and Cushman & Wakefield. The Blackstone Group provided her with a background in both research as well as real estate investments that brings an invaluable perspective to her work. At Cushman & Wakefield, she gained experience in market analysis and trend projection that is essential to creating long-term real estate solutions for her clients.
In 2013, Fisher received the Association of Real Estate Women’s Founder’s Award. She was the recipient of Newmark’s Rising Star Award for 2010 and the Real Estate Board of New York’s Most Promising Commercial Salesperson of the Year Award for 2008. Fisher is a member of Newmark’s Young Leadership Council, an active member of REBNY, and was elected to serve on the 2010 Board of Governors for the Young Men’/Women’s Real Estate Association (YMWREA) as vice chairman. She was elected to serve on the Board of the Executive’s Association of New York and sits on the Board of the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW). Fisher volunteers her time to The River Fund and St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters, who honored her as their Guest of Honor at the 2011 Women of Valor Event. She also contributes to the Enterprise Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising awareness for local community development and affordable housing projects.
Education
At Cornell University, Fisher double majored in Spanish and American Studies, receiving her BA in American Studies. She was a consistent Dean’s List student and maintains proficiency in Spanish.
