Scott Gutnick’s area of commercial real estate expertise is corporate tenant representation, including relocation, expansion, disposition and lease renegotiation projects.
Local market knowledge is Gutnick’s forte. With over 10 years of experience, he constantly strives to improve his knowledge base of the entire New York City marketplace, including the buildings, owners, tenants and all associated market activity/transactions. This also includes tenants actively in the market (acquisition/disposition), “shadow space” and recently completed deal specifics.
Gutnick is responsible for canvassing the marketplace for prospective clients interested in expanding or decreasing their real estate requisites. His broadly diversified knowledge enables him to encompass all facets of real estate from the corporate perspective in the areas of the acquisition and disposition of real estate holdings, facilities management, project management, logistics, cost reduction analysis and strategic and tactical planning. He also has the skills that are necessary to represent his clients’ best interests and successfully complete complex real estate transactions. He has proven particularly adept at helping his clients find space in the Plaza District.
Prior to joining Newmark, Gutnick was an Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers. His focus was on auditing private equity and hedge funds.
Professional Achievements
Gutnick was recognized as a Top Five Rising Star performer in 2017 and 2018. In 2017, he also received Newmark’s Tri-State Associate of the Year award, which is given to the top-producing associate broker at the firm.
Education
A New York City native, Gutnick is a graduate of Hofstra University, where he received both his master’s degree in taxation and Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He is a licensed broker in the state of New York.
