Sean Wood is Vice Chairman of Newmark, located in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill office. He is responsible for multifamily brokerage and advisory services. Since joining Newmark in 2007, Wood has been involved in over $30 billion of multifamily investment sales totaling over 195,000 apartment units. He has worked with a broad range of clients including pension fund advisors, insurance companies, REITs, developers, family offices, and a host of private capital groups. Wood has also facilitated many joint-venture equity placement or recapitalization on both new construction and existing redevelopment opportunities for developers and value add groups.
Prior to joining Newmark, Wood worked in Houston, Texas with Brookfield Properties for the company’s leasing, development, and acquisition of high-rise office properties.
Education
Wood received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University with an emphasis on international business and Spanish. He then went on to earn a graduate degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas and La Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico, where he earned a dual master’s in international business.
