Stephen Smigel serves as CEO, Newmark Securities, Newmark’s FINRA-registered Broker-Dealer that provides Investment Banking, Corporate Finance and Securities related services to institutional clients. Newmark Securities services include Equity and Debt Financing, Private Placements, Private REIT’s M&A Advisory, Restructurings, Fairness Opinions and Capital Raising. Mr. Smigel has more than 30 years of experience in the investment banking, capital markets and sales and trading industries, having worked at Alex Brown, Credit Suisse, RBS and MUFG with leadership roles in both New York and London. Mr. Smigel joined Newmark in 2019, and is the head of Nuloan™, Newmark’s data-powered, online digital lending platform. Mr. Smigel is also head of and has supervisory responsibility for all broker-dealer related activity within Newmark.

Mr. Smigel received his undergraduate degree from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in economics and a dual concentration in finance and entrepreneurial management. He also received an MBA in finance from Columbia Business School.
