Steve Rudesill is Vice Chairman of Newmark’s Memphis multifamily operation where he is responsible for the growth and development of the company’s multifamily brokerage platform in the Mid-South and Tennessee. With a career spanning 29 years in the multifamily industry, Rudesill has participated in over $3.0 billion in multifamily transactions and has held real estate investments in Wisconsin, Arkansas, North Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, including the development of multifamily rental housing and condominiums in the Memphis area.
Prior to joining Newmark, Rudesill established the Mid-South multifamily brokerage team for CBRE where he served as President and Principal for 19 years. During that timeframe, he was also a partner for 17 years in LEDIC Management Group, a third-party management company with over 45,000 multifamily units in their portfolio from Virginia to Arizona. In 1986 he formed a multifamily brokerage company in Southern California that specialized in tax-deferred exchange structures before relocating to Memphis in 1990 to join SPL Corporation, the largest multifamily brokerage company in the Mid-South.
Rudesill began his professional career as an Aerospace Engineer for Hughes Aircraft Company in Southern California and he later worked for the Hewlett Packard Company as a major Account Manager for large aerospace and defense contractors in Southern California and Arizona.

Education
Rudesill received a Master of Science degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, attending on a Howard Hughes Fellowship. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in applied mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
