Thomas Dobrowski serves as a Vice Chairman in Newmark’s Capital Markets group. Dobrowski leads a team of professionals with a specific focus and expertise in covering the enclosed regional mall sector, in addition to large and complex open-air and outlet centers. His team is one of the most active retail-focused transactional and advisory groups in the country.

Dobrowski’s broad real estate capital markets knowledge and expertise reflects career experience that encompasses all major property types across a wide range of geographies. Over the past 20 years, he has been responsible for equity real estate transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $10 billion. Dobrowski joined Newmark in 2015 with the mandate to grow a mall capital markets platform, and has achieved the number one market share in the United States since 2017. Additionally, his team has provided consulting and valuation services for assets with a gross value in excess of $20 billion.

Prior to joining Newmark, Dobrowski was Head of Eastern U.S. Capital Markets for Rockwood Real Estate Advisors. In this role, he oversaw the firm’s transactional business and worked directly with parent company CWCapital and Fortress Investments to expand its services to private and institutional owners of commercial real estate. Prior to heading the group, Dobrowski spent 10 years working with senior management on the execution of investment sale and advisory assignments throughout the country, with a core focus on retail assets. Dobrowski joined Rockwood Real Estate Advisors from Morgan Stanley’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group, where he had worked on a wide range of domestic and international assignments covering multiple property types and capital structures.
