Thomas Gath

After 25 years with United Parcel Service, Tom Gath decided to change career paths. Utilizing his knowledge and people skills, Gath began a career in commercial real estate. Gath’s managerial, sales; customer service and logistics experience gives him insight to client’s needs and how to supply them. Gath understands the climate of the mid-size to larger companies and how to address their real estate needs and has established relationships with RREEF, Zilber, Prologis, Panattoni and Principal Global Investors, as well as private owners to bring their properties to profitable occupancy. He also has maintained an ongoing relationship with current tenants. Many of his deals have come from referrals of past clients; this is testament to the service he provides. He has also arranged many investment sales for many of his clients. Gath works with a great team to serve the O’Hare market with a range of multi-tenant properties along with a range of lease rates that can fit the customer and their budget. Now as a Managing Director with Newmark for the past 10 years, Gath continues to represent owners and tenants in the lease and sale of industrial properties. Most recently, Gath was a Vice President with Cawley Chicago, where he handled industrial leasing, sales and represented more than 800,000 square feet of available space. He began his career with Owen Wagener & Co. 20 years ago and has developed a client following with referrals and repeat business that continue at Newmark.
